Selfless Giving: The Israeli-American Mission Of Adam Milstein

Adam Milstein, aside from being a father to three beautiful daughters and husband to his wife, Gila, is one of the leading philanthropists in the Jewish community. That is not where his journey started though. He took some time to get there but always kept the mindset of serving the people even in his business endeavors.

Adam Milstein got his started selling real estate early on in his life after moving to the United States from Haifa. Adam Milstein moved to California with his wife in 1981 and quickly gained a named in the region for being one of the top real estate agents. He was successful but he wanted more. Adam Milstein and his wife, Gina, decided to establish the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation in the year 2000. The aim of this foundation was to reconnect young Jews with their Israeli roots. This organization would plant the seed for the all of Adam Milstein’s future philanthropic endeavors.

Still based in California, Adam Milstein co-founded the Israeli-American Council. The IAC mission statement was essentially the same as the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation’s but it’s aim is to reconnect all Jews with the state of Israel. The IAC is a stronghold with the Israeli-American community and, since Adam Milstein took over, has had one of the fastest increases in membership in the country for any organization. In June 2015, Adam Milstein arranged the Campus Maccabbees Summit. It was held in Las Vegas and had over 50 organizations in attendance, truly establishing a presence and demonstrating the power that the Israeli community holds.

Adam is still involved in real estate, as he is currently a partner in Hager Pacific Properties, but philanthropy remains at the forefront. Adam Milstein believes that philanthropy is not work because it can’t be considered work when you are actually doing something that you love and that is the philosophy that we should all carry throughout our lives.
