Intelligent Home Module

Formulation of scriptures my vision of a smart house
Hello, Housewife!

Challenges

Main objectives:
  • Interaction with user - Means for display and acceptance of user teams, e.g. tablet computers with relevant software;
  • Remote management - Means of execution of the user ' s command, such as light, door closure, etc.
  • Monitoring - Means of information collection (temperatures/lights/ door openings/ etc.);
  • Domestic automation - The computer is a server for the collection of information, the storage of the system configuration and the performance of the control criticals;
  • Connective systems - the system must interact with external devices such as television, air conditioner, etc.
  • Data transmission - communication tools for all nodes into a single network.

Through the main tasks, a large number of side tasks, such as:
  • Access control system;
  • Security alarm;
  • Fire alarm;
  • Video surveillance;
  • Videophone;
  • Videonian;
  • Remote lighting management;
  • Automatic disconnection of electrical equipment at night and in the absence of people in the room with a view to saving electricity;
  • One system of access to all information and any resources from any place at home.

At this point, each of the above tasks has been accomplished, but they are not integrated into a single system.

Practical solution

User interaction
So far, smart house systems for lighting are using expensive smart switches valued at between 500 and 1,500 roubles, which are masked by conventional switches. I don't like that.

To interact with the user, I suggest the use of low-cost Chinese tablet computers with OS Androids, worth about 2,500 cuts. Planet computers should be mounted on walls. They will be able not only to serve switches, but also to display many useful information; to remove sound and video flow for video surveillance systems, video domain, sound warning systems; to serve as part of the surveillance system; to provide emergency lighting. Except he looks more futuristic than classic switches.

Remote management and monitoring
I've met either an in-house machine system to deal with electrical equipment, or smart house system using their own protocols or arduino modules.
Industrial automation systems are too expensive for home use, smart home systems with X10 protocols, and they're too small. Arduino-based systems are not a ready solution, such a system requires the purchase of an appropriate set of modules, the hull, the folding of all these modules, etc....

In my view, the most appropriate option would be to establish a unified module for each room containing the most used function, and to address specific tasks (e.g. RGB below the ceiling) use external equipment or arduino.
