How does that work?
Domestic appliances are connected to the Vodafone Global M2M Platform telecommunications platform, which links previously isolated cars or wireless devices to the Internet. Vodafone M2M (Machine-to-Machine, inter-machine interface) operates on a new platform for cloud computing services SmartCloud Service Delivery Platform from IBM. As a result, using a smartphone, a person will be able to look at the consumption of public services, monitor heating, lighting, alarm systems, and remotely launch domestic appliances such as a dishwasher. The IBM and Vodafone initiative will also provide producers and suppliers with additional information on how consumers use domestic technology to improve products, improve maintenance and improve the quality of services.
